Turkmenistan’s Sekiz Bag Harvests 25 Tons of Sesame Seeds

Sekiz Bag plans to collect rapeseed and also to produce its oil this year.

Sekiz Bag company in Tejen etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat harvested 25 tons of sesame seeds last year.

Sekiz Bag company, headed by entrepreneur Muhammet Yemshikov, grows cotton, wheat, sesame, rapeseed, sunflower and Vakharman melon on its territory Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

This year, the agricultural grower plans to collect rapeseed and also to produce its oil. The enterprise has installed equipment from China in its workshop for the production of vegetable oil.

In July last year, the company harvested white-seed sunflower of early sowing from 10 hectares, Yemshikov said, adding that in October, the company additionally collected sunflower that was sowed after wheat harvest on 10 hectares of land. The enterprise uses the harvested sunflower mainly in the production of confectionery products.

In 2021, the company plans to plant and harvest 200 hectares of wheat, 50 hectares of rapeseed, 170 hectares of cotton, 20 hectares of sesame, 20 hectares of sunflower and 5 hectares of melon. Sekiz bag also has 5 hectares of vineyards and 5 hectares of orchards.
