Turkmenistan’s Akar Tekstil Exports 450 Thousand Pairs of Socks

Akar Tekstil is capable of producing 500 thousand pairs of socks per month.

Akar Tekstil Economic society, private producer of socks under Akar trademark in Turkmenistan, exported 450 thousand pairs of its products during the first two months of this year.

The main export destinations of the products are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and the European countries, the country’s official media reported on Thursday. Last year, the company exported about a million pair of its products.

The company, located at industrial zone in Ak Bugday etrap of Turkmenistan’s Ahal velayat, produces 15 types of men's, women's and children's socks made of natural cotton and blended yarn with lycra.

The production facility, equipped with modern knitting machines of Mateс Silver and Lonati brands, is capable of producing 500 thousand pairs of socks per month. The company plans to double its production this year.
