Turkmen Company Produces Over 33.5 Tons of Wool Yarn

The company produces wool yarn and wool yarn mixed with polyester from high-quality sheep's wool.

Turkmenistan’s Kerwenler Individual Enterprise produced more than 33.5 tons of wool yarn since the launch of its production facility in the industrial zone in Ahal velayat’s Ak Bugday etrap in April 2020.

In an interview with Business Turkmenistan, Mahriban Esenova, the specialist of the company’s Planning Department said the production facility is equipped with modern machinery and consists of spinning and weaving mills.

The company has also started production of high-quality Turkmen carpets with pure wool. The factory's wool production capacity is 15 tons per month and 180 tons per year.

The wool spinning mill produces wool yarn and wool yarn mixed with polyester from high-quality sheep's wool. The weaving mill of the enterprise produces kilims and bedspreads of various sizes, and woolen and semi-woolen blankets.

The factory has the capacity to produce 7.5 thousand woolen blankets a month and 90,000 woolen blankets a year. To date, the enterprise has manufactured and delivered to customers 3,553 woolen blankets.

The plant is designed to produce 13,000 meters of kilims and bedspreads per month and 156,000 meters of kilims and bedspreads per year. The factory has so far delivered to customers about 6,000 meters of such products.

The company's products are presently supplied to retail outlets in the capital and regions of the country. In the future, the company plans to increase its product range, and to establish their export.
