Turkmenistan’s Gamyşlyjanebit Produces Over 61 Thousand Tons of Crude Oil

Gamyşlyjanebit oil and gas production department operates at the Shatut and Altynguyi hydrocarbon fields in the Turkmenistan's Balkan velayat.

Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern’s Gamyşlyjanebit oil and gas production department has produced over 61 thousand tons of crude oil since the beginning of 2021.

The department produced 1,212 tons of hydrocarbons in excess of the production plan, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.

Currently, the specialists of the department, equipped with the modern and advanced equipment and technologies, are carrying out works at the Shatut and Altynguyi hydrocarbon fields in the country’s Balkan velayat.

During a government meeting on February 11, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the Türkmennebit SC should practice new forms of cooperation with international companies in the field of prospecting, exploration and development of oil and gas fields, attract foreign investments for drilling new wells and extracting hard-to-recover and residual oil reserves from old wells.
