Last year, tomato became the most exported product in Lebap velayat.
Businesses in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat exported tomatoes, beans, alfalfa seeds, millet, sorghum, mung bean worth around $4.2 million, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.
Last year, Goşa Käriz and Kümüş Suw company’s exports of 190 tons of beans amounted to $88,077, according to the report. Kümüş Suw also exported tens of tons of mung bean. Ýigit, Milady, Gaýrat and Wahym companies exported 770 tons of millet during the period.
Aýdyňmaksat Individual Enterprise, the first exporter of alfalfa seeds in the velayat, also started exporting cereals such as millet and mung bean.
Last year, tomato became the most exported product in the velayat as 16 businesses exported 3,130 tons of tomatoes worth over $3.044 million.
