Turkmen Business Aims to Export Its Hosiery Products

The production facility is designed to produce between 1.5 million and 2 million pairs of socks annually.

Entrepreneur Muhammetnur Atajanov’s enterprise producing four types of socks in the Mary city of Turkmenistan’s Mary velayat plans to expand production and establish export of its products.

The enterprise produces socks for children and adults in various thicknesses and sizes. Considering the demand in local market, the company has also launched the production of low women's socks. The enterprise mainly uses domestic cotton in production, Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The enterprise presently sells its hosiery products in the local market. The production facility is designed to produce between 1.5 million and 2 million pairs of socks annually.

The entrepreneur started the production of socks in 2017. The enterprise has weaving, spinning, sewing and packing workshops, separate storage facilities for raw materials and finished products.
