The second meeting of the working group of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan took place in a video conference format on Thursday.
According to TDH news agency’s report, the meeting gathered representatives of dozens of ministries, departments, hyakimliks (velayat and city administrations), banks, institutions and enterprises, specialists from IT platforms, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The meeting participants discussed amendments and additions to the Regulations and the composition of the Intersectoral Commission for the Development of the Digital Economy.
Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communications) Agency was appointed as the authorized body for the development of the digital economy. The first meeting of the commission, which took place at the beginning of this year, determined the main tasks of the commission and those responsible for their implementation.
The Agency presented to the participants the national project of the Unified Identification and Authentication System (UIAS), which is designed to provide authorized access for parties (citizens-applicants and officials of executive authorities) to state electronic resources in order to provide electronic services.
Access will be provided after registration on the Single Portal of State Services of Turkmenistan - e.gov.tm.
In addition, a draft of the System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction (SIEI) was presented during the working group meeting. SIEI is an information system that will allow the central, regional and local authorities of the country, credit institutions and other SIEI participants to exchange data necessary for the provision of public services to citizens and organizations in an electronic format.
