Cotton-spinning mill in Turkmenabat, the administrative center of Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat, has produced 3,037 tons of high-quality cotton yarn since the beginning of 2020.
According to Türkmen Gündogary newspaper’s Thursday issue, the enterprise, equipped with modern machinery, produces 12 tons of products daily.
The bulk of the yarn produced is exported to countries such as Turkey, Poland and Russia. Recently, the enterprise has expanded its export destinations, sending a batch of its products to Qatar.
Turkmen cotton yarn is in great high among businesses based in such countries as the United Arab Emirates and Turkey. Textile products are one of the most popular export goods at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.
The structure of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 80 textile enterprises. In total, about 26 thousand specialists work in the area. Turkmenistan exports over 55% of domestic textile products to international markets.
