New Drywall Plant Appears in Turkmenistan’s Balkan Velayat

The plant is designed to annually produce 4 million square meters of drywall and 5 thousand tons of dry mortars.

The opening ceremony of Ak Gaýa Economic Society’s new plant for the production of dry mortars and drywall in S. Turkmenbashi etrap of Turkmenistan’s western velayat of Balkan took place on Tuesday.

According to TDH news agency’s report, the company’s new plant is erected in the etrap’s Akdash settlement.

The plant is designed to annually produce 4 million square meters of drywall and 5 thousand tons of dry mortars. The main raw material for the production is calcite, which is mined in a nearby quarry. The plant’s production workshops are equipped with modern machinery purchased from Turkey, Spain, China and other countries.

The production process is automated and controlled by operators. There plant also includes a laboratory for product quality control, a compressor unit, a transformer substation, a packing and packaging area for finished products, and a warehouse. The plant will employ several dozens of specialists.

In September 2019, Ak Gaýa Enterprise had produced the trial batch of drywall sheets. The company is a leading domestic manufacturer of dry construction materials such as finishing and priming construction fillers.
