Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepbarov on Thursday held online meeting with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Natalia Tamirisa.
According to Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s press release, the meeting participants discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the area of economy and finances.
The parties focused on the need to intensify relations between Turkmenistan and the IMF on attracting investments in promising projects aimed at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
In this regard, the officials particularly noted the fruitfulness of relations based on the principles of mutual trust and respect.
The participants also underlined the importance joint efforts aimed at developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IMF.
The International Monetary Fund is a partner of Turkmenistan in economic reforms and provides technical assistance to support ongoing macroeconomic reforms.
