In January-September of 2020, the farms of Turkmenistan increased harvest of vegetables by 8.4%, melons - by 10.1%, fruits and berries - by 7.6%.
In January-September this year, farms in Turkmenistan increased the volume of mechanized work in crop growing by 61.8% compared to the same period last year, Orient news outlet reported on Wednesday citing the data of State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan.
According to the report, these data indicate that agriculture sector in Turkmenistan is becoming more mechanized. This, in turn, increases the yield and quality of agricultural products, and the number of jobs for highly qualified specialists, such as machine operators.
The increase in mechanized work has an effect on growing of vegetables, gourds, and fruits and berries. During the period, the farms of Turkmenistan increased harvest of vegetables by 8.4%, melons - by 10.1%, fruits and berries - by 7.6%.
In order to improve the technological effectiveness of agriculture, the Turkmen Agricultural University is actively cooperating with the American company John Deer. The training center of the company operates in the premises of the university.
