Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries is the largest enterprise in Turkmenistan.
Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) will increase the depth of oil refining from 86% at the end of 2019 to 92%. This will put the TCOR on a par with the global leaders in oil refining, ORIENT news outlet reported on Thursday with reference to the statement of the refinery’s General Director Dovran Chishiyev during the International Conference Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2020 in Ashgabat.
According to the head of the refinery, the launch of a new delayed coking and tar deasphalting unit under construction at the TCOR will make such an increase in the oil refining ratio possible.
Further introduction of new technologies within the framework of constant, systemic modernization of the TCOR is aimed at a complete transition to the production of environmentally friendly motor gasolines and diesel fuel that meet the Euro-5 standard, Chishiyev noted.
The complex has several units for primary and secondary oil refining, including ELOU-AT units, catalytic cracking and reforming units, and units for jet fuel purification, diesel fuel hydro treating, olefin alkylation and light gasoline isomerization.
As a result of the TCOR’s modernization, installations for the production of polypropylene film (BOPP), polypropylene bags, bitumen, coke and calcined coke, a workshop for the production of lubricating oils and polypropylene were put into operation. All these are the main technological objects of the flagship enterprise. The refinery complex is also continuing digital transformation of its production with the introduction of systems for collecting, processing, displaying and archiving information about monitoring and control objects.
The TCOR produces all the main products of the oil refining and petrochemical industries, which fully comply with environmental standards. The refinery’s portfolio mainly consists of high-octane unleaded motor gasolines, aviation, lighting and technical kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, various types of diesel fuel, including ECO-4 and ECO-5, lubricating oils of over 30 brands, polypropylene, electrode calcined coke, high-quality road and construction bitumen and low-sulfur fuel oil.
Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries is the largest enterprise in Turkmenistan. In terms of its scale, it is comparable to the leading oil refining concerns. The TCOR includes two plants, numerous oil depots and filling stations.
