Turkmen, Kazakh Business Circles Discuss Expansion of Export-Import Operations

The meeting participants also noted the need to strengthen cooperation by increasing the volume of export-import operations, expanding the range of supplied goods and services rendered to each other.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on Wednesday hosted an online meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan. The heads and specialists of public and private structures, and diplomats attended the meeting, State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.

The meeting participants emphasized that current cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan reached a qualitatively new level, which is largely facilitated by intensified bilateral contacts at all levels.

Turkmen structures such as the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, the Ministry of Textile Industry, Turkmenbashi International Seaport and the Aýdyň Gijeler company presented their capabilities, including in the fields of industrialization, import substitution, and increasing production volumes of high demand products on world markets.

In turn, Kazakh businesses, presenting their companies, emphasized their readiness to actively participate in joint national and regional projects.

During the exchange of views on the prospects for bilateral trade and economic relations, proposals were made to diversify cooperation in such priority areas as the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, production of building materials, trade, agriculture, textile, chemical and food industries.

The meeting participants also noted the need to strengthen cooperation by increasing the volume of export-import operations, expanding the range of supplied goods and services rendered to each other.

The business sector of the Kazakh region was represented by the Atameken Chamber of Entrepreneurs, joint-stock companies and companies specializing in maritime shipping, construction of distribution facilities to provide electricity and telecommunications, including EFKO Kazakhstan LLP, Kaskor-Mashzavod JSC, KazAzot JSC, Munaytelecom LLP, Kazmortransflot National Maritime Shipping Company, Taushyk auyl sharuashylygy and Zhamal-ai LTD.
