Turkmen Company Manufactures Import-Substituting Electrical Cables

The raw materials required for production, namely copper, aluminum, polyvinyl plastic and others, are supplied from abroad.

Turkmenistan’s Jeýhun Kabel Economic Society annually produces more than 4,200 tons of bare cables of types A (with aluminum wire) and AC (with steel wire) intended for overhead power transmission networks.

According to the Rysgal newspapers Monday issue, the company’s plant has the capacity to annually produce 5,000 kilometers of APV, PV1, PV2, PV3, PV4, APPV and PPV wires with PVC insulation, and 10,000 kilometers of AVVG, APVG, PVG and VVG wires with plastic coating.

The raw materials required for production, namely copper, aluminum, polyvinyl plastic and others, are supplied from abroad, according to the newspaper.

In addition, the enterprise’s capacity is also designed for the production of 10 thousand kilometers of plastic-insulated and coated wire. Such a wire is intended for use on a network with an electric voltage of 450/750 volts. The company also manufactures other types of custom made wire.

Jeýhun Kabel has been producing electrical wires and cables since 2018 and plans to expand its product range.
