Halach Cotton Yarn Faсtory’s Exports Neared Nine Million Manats

The factory's cotton yarns are in high demand in countries such as Russia, Turkey and Poland.

Cotton-Spinning Factory in Halach etrap in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat has manufactured 25 million manats worth of products since the beginning of this year, of which nearly 9 million manats worth of the products were exported to foreign markets.

According to the Türkmen Gündogary newspaper’s Saturday issue, the factory's cotton yarns are in high demand in countries such as Russia, Turkey and Poland. Last year, the mill produced 41.293 million manats worth of products instead of the planned 31.43 million.

Currently, Turkmenistan is taking consistent measures to stimulate the growth of the textile industry and promote its products. A number of new outlets of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan were recently opened in different parts of the country. The country, in cooperation with representatives of the private sector, increases the production capacities of the Ministry’s enterprises.

Turkmenistan is also increasing the production of cotton, which is the main raw material in the manufacture of domestic textiles. The country increased the area for cotton cultivation from 550 thousand hectares to 620 thousand hectares this year, planning to harvest 1.25 million tons of the crop from the plots.

In general, Turkmenistan invested about $2 billion in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile factories. More than thirty investment projects have been implemented, which resulted in the commissioning of dozens of modern enterprises equipped with advanced machinery.
