Turkmenistan to Launch Production of Sound, Thermal Insulation Materials

The new enterprise will produce sound and thermal insulation materials from thin basalt fiber and mineral wool.

Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shamuhammet Durdyliyev during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday informed about the creation of an enterprise for the production of sound and thermal insulation materials from thin basalt fiber and mineral wool in the Jebel village of Turkmenistan’s western velayat of Balkan, TDH news agency reports.

The enterprise will be built in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated February 20, 2020 On Construction of Industrial and Production Facilities of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan in 2020-2023.

Durdyliyev said an international tender was held for the purchase and installation of technological equipment of the enterprise and the winner was selected by the result of the tender.

During the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov especially emphasized the importance of increasing the capacity of the domestic construction industry. The modernized existing and new facilities of the industry, which are under construction, are to satisfy the needs of the domestic market for high-quality and affordable products.

According to the report, the new enterprise is proposed to be located in the modernized building of the plant for production of wall materials.
