Turkmenistan’s Ter Önüm to Produce Melon Chips

Ter Önüm has established partnerships with more than 300 farms and private agricultural producers in Turkmenistan for the purchase of agricultural products.

Ter Önüm Economic Society will launch production of melon chips, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on Sunday.

To this end, the company developed, together with Dutch experts, a technology for the production of the chips, purchased and installed modern Turkish machinery at its workshops.

Ter Önüm has established partnerships with more than three hundred farms and private agricultural producers in Turkmenistan for the purchase of agricultural products.

The company also plans to produce melon milk from the seeds of the fruit remaining in the process of making chips. Melon milk is a popular health food product and is also used as a base for smoothies and shakes, according to the report.

In addition to supplying local markets with greens, dried fruits, vegetables and fruits, Ter Önüm also exports agricultural products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. With the launch of the new production line, the company intends to tap markets of Germany, Austria and France.
