Russia and the United States based businesses purchased aviation kerosene, hydrotreated diesel fuel and diesel fuel produced by the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries through State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for foreign currency last week, TurkmenistaGolden Age news outlet reported on Sunday.
These products were also purchased by businesspeople from the UAE, Oman, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan. The foreign businesses also purchased polyethylene and high-density polyethylene produced by Türkmengaz State Concern.
Businesses of the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan bought denim and cotton yarn for foreign currency. The total amount of transactions exceeded $19.693 million.
Businesses from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of more than 3.696 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased high-density polyethylene produced by Türkmengaz State Concern and cotton fiber in the amount of over 1.649 million manats.
Over the past seven months of this year, 155 trades were held on the exchange and 15,124 contracts were registered.
