Turkmenistan to Simplify Processing of Credit, Customs and Trade Operations

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov dismissed Ezizgeldi Annamuhammedov from the post of Minister of Finance and Economy during the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers on Friday and appointed Muhammetgeldi Serdarov to the post, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports.

Addressing the newly appointed Minister, the Turkmen Leader stressed the necessity of improving tax rules and acceleration the transition of the Ministry to the electronic system and instructed to use international experience in this area.

The Head of State identified acceleration of the denationalization and privatization of state property, transformation of organizations and enterprises with the government share to joint stock companies and opening of securities market as the priority tasks.

Turkmen President made a special emphasis on the need for a separate review of unprofitable state enterprises.

It is necessary to make full use of the production capacities of enterprises, reduce unnecessary costs, accelerate work to increase the competitiveness of industries through the release of high-quality products, the President emphasized.

The Turkmen Leader also underlined that regular work should be done to create favorable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, and to simplify the procedure for issuing land plots, and to facilitate the processing of credit, customs and trade operations.

Opening of free economic zones by introduction of preferences for export and the research of the possibilities of introduction of visa, registration of land plots, introduction of credits and payment settlement benefits were outlined among the main activities of the Ministry.
