Türkmennebit Increases Oil Production Efficiency Using Digital Technologies

Digitalization has covered all segments of Türkmennebit State Concern.

Digital technologies introduced at the enterprises of the Türkmennebit State Concern improved the efficiency of management of exploration, field development and oil production, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on Tuesday.

The head of the communications and automation department of the State Concern Vepa Kuliyev said this process started several years ago with the installation of eight digital systems for measuring the quantity and quality indicators of commercial oil, adding that digitalization has now covered all segments of the concern.

“In order to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production, the department’s specialists connected all the structural units of the State Concern located in Balkanabat to the Uzboy, Burun and Barsagelmez oil fields using fiber-optic cable,” said Kuliyev.

The concern has entered into an agreement with the Russian engineering company Awtomatizasiya-Metrologiya-Ekspert for the supply of 50 sets of UMF300 multiphase level gauges for equipping the tank farms of the Türkmennebit.

At the first stage of modernization, 550 production wells will be transferred to the remote control mode.

According to experts of the Turkmennebit State Concern, digital projects are currently being implemented to increase the efficiency of all links in oil production and refining.
