Turkmenistan Launches Production of Disposable Surgical Gowns From Spunbond

The enterprise uses spunbond in manufacture of the products.

Enterprise for the production of sterile dressings in Turkmenistan’s northern velayat of Dashoguz launched the production of disposable surgical gowns from a non-woven fabric, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on Sunday.

The enterprise uses spunbond, which has high strength, hygroscopicity and hypoallergenicity, resistance to deformation and temperature effects, in manufacture of the products.

The characteristics of the non-woven material make it possible to use it for the production of disposable medical clothing, as well as other personal protective equipment.

A trial batch of the surgical gowns made of spunbond was manufactured in a specialized department of the enterprise where high-performance sewing machines were recently installed.

The enterprise, owned by the Türkmendermansenagat Association of the Ministry of Health and the Medical Industry, is equipped with modern machinery from leading European manufacturers, which allows producing up to 13 million packages of various types of dressings a year.

The company has recently started producing bleached gauze. Foreign consumers are also showing interest in the products of the enterprise.
