German Companies Offer Modern Production Technologies to Turkmenistan

The parties considered the proposals of UMAX Trade and the modernization of the water sector in Turkmenistan.

Delegation of Turkmenistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a video conference meeting with the management of the German Eastern Business Association on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Chairman of the German Eastern Business Association Oliver Hermes, gave speech on the topic “General assessment of the German economy, bilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan, and the global situation due to the pandemic,” which identified key areas of cooperation with Turkmenistan and the possible impact of the coronavirus on implementation of the reached agreements.

The participants also discussed the project of UMAX Trade for modernization of the water sector in Turkmenistan. In this regard, the parties considered the proposals of UMAX Trade and the priorities of the relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan in the field of transforming the country's water sector and the widespread introduction of modern technologies in the production.

The parties also agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation and proposed to hold the Days of the German Economy in Turkmenistan for the 7th time in 2021.

Established in 2018, the German Eastern Business Association is the major regional initiative of the German economy for 29 countries in Central Europe, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, in the South Caucasus and in Central Asia. The organization supports its members in their projects, arranges contacts and answers questions about market entry.
