Built to honor the Supreme Law of Turkmenistan, the 185-meter high Monument to the Constitution was opened in 2011.
Turkmenistan celebrated Constitution and State Flag Day on Monday.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the flower laying ceremonies held at Monument to the Constitution and at flagpole with the State Flag of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
Members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, military and law enforcement agencies, ministers and departments, hyakims of Ashgabat and etraps of the capital, elders, representatives of public organizations, mass media, students and citizens have gathered also attended the events.
Built to honor the Supreme Law of Turkmenistan, the 185-meter high Constitution Monument was opened in 2011. The Constitution of Turkmenistan was adopted on May18, 1992.
The 133-metre high flagpole was installed in the capital of Turkmenistan in 2008 and inscribed in the Book of Guinness World Records in the same year.
A festive concert was also held at the Ashgabat cultural center on the occasion of Constitution and State Flag Day.
Tbilisi TV tower was also lit in colors of Turkmen flag on the night of May 18 on occasion of the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.
