The sides stated the close cooperation of Türkmendeňizderýaýollary with Dragon Oil in the field of maritime transport that has been carried out for many years.

Representatives of Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Maritime and River Transport) Agency and representatives of the UAE-based Dragon Oil in an online meeting on Tuesday discussed the further expansion of cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides stated the close cooperation of Türkmendeňizderýaýollary with Dragon Oil in the field of maritime transport that has been carried out for many years, the Turkmen Agency said in its press release.

Türkmendeňizderýaýollary representatives informed of the projects aimed at development of maritime transport system and the national merchant marine fleet of Turkmenistan, as well as of the program of development of maritime transport.

Given the important role of the projects aimed at development of the national fleet of Turkmenistan in the advance of the transport system of the country and in expanding international cooperation in the field of transport and transit logistics system, the Dragon Oil was invited to consider investing in shipbuilding projects, according to the report.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed interest in mutually beneficial long-term cooperation and noted that they would make efforts to expand and develop ties.
