The enterprise located in the province’s Koytendag district exported nearly 55 tons of the cement last year, the country’s official media reported on Tuesday.

The plant produces portland cement and sulfate-resistant cement used in the construction of hydraulic structures.

Raw materials for the cement production – limestone, clay, gypsum and quartz sand – are mined at the nearby quarries.

The cement plant was commissioned in February 2013. The plant’s products are sold in domestic and international markets.

The construction of the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant started in 2020. Turkmen Enjam Economic Society carries out the implementation of this project.
