President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Ashgabat on Friday, the country's official media reports.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to discuss in person the bilateral cooperation matters, Minnikhanov conveyed warm greetings from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan intends to further deepen the traditional good neighborly relations.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and priorities of the Turkmen-Tatar cooperation.
The Tatar President expressed his deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedow for the fruitful cooperation and support for the companies operating in Turkmenistan and reiterated the readiness of the business circles of Tatarstan to actively participate in the large-scale educational programs of Turkmenistan.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Rustam Minnikhanov exchanged their good wishes and expressed strong confidence in the successful continuation of the old traditions of friendship, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation between the brotherly peoples.
