The business in the coming years, intends under the brand Tokaychi to become the largest supplier of the edible products to retail chains.

The large private enterprise for growing lamellar mushrooms was put into operation in Ovadandepe settlement in Turkmenistan’s Ahal province, the country’s official media reported on Friday.

The enterprise owner, Entrepreneur Babasadyk Churiyev, purchased mycelium, the "seed" for mushroom growing, from one of the world leaders producing mushrooms – the Dutch company Sylvan. The enterprise grows white mushrooms strain A15 with a large cap.

Already this year, the entrepreneur intends to harvest about 600 tons, and in the coming years, under the brand Tokaychi to become the largest supplier of the edible products to retail chains and grow up to 2.5 thousand tons of mushrooms annually.

The enterprise has set up more than 60 thousand square meters for producing compost. With the technology purchased from Dutch manufacturers, the farm will prepare up to six thousand tons of compost, two tons of which are intended for their own needs.

The mushroom farm's products will be sold packaged using modified atmosphere packaging method.
