The dynamic development of the transport-communication complex in recent years is ensured by an increase in investments and ongoing work to modernize this complex in accordance with international standards.
Last year, Demirýollary Open Joint-Stock Company, the operator of the railway transport service in Turkmenistan, purchased from the Russian Transmashholding (TMH) a passenger diesel locomotive TEP70BS and a mainline freight diesel locomotive 2TE25KM.
