Turkmen, Uzbek President to Attend Taskhent Park’s Opening in Ashgabat

The opening ceremony of the Tashkent park created in Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat will be held this week with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan on October 20-21, UzDaily news outlet reported, citing the Press Secretary of the President of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov as saying during a Monday press briefing.
During the visit, the Presidents will hold narrow and extended format negotiations The visit also includes the signing of several documents, primarily relating to trade-economic cooperation.
Mirziyoyev will take also part in the ceremony of the beginning of construction of the Uzbek-Turkmen border trade zone.
In 2018, the Ashgabat park was opened in Tashkent as a sign of friendship and brotherhood between people of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
