The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to more than $14.1 million, the country’s official media reported on Monday.
For foreign currency, the businesses from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan procured calcined petroleum coke, L-0.2-62 diesel fuel, heating oil and liquefied gas produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR).
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased technical granulated sulfur produced of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, high-density polyethylene of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, building materials and handmade carpets. The total amount of transactions exceeded 27.61 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 33 transactions last week.
