President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday instructed Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, to organize electronic trading of carpets and carpet products.

The Head of State also instructed to continue the digitalization of ordering, manufacturing and sales of carpet products, the country’s official media reports.

Addressing the Vice-Premier, President Berdimuhamedov stated that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan should strengthen its methodical assistance to increase the exports of domestic goods and support private producers in the search for new markets and ways of marketing, and gave a number of relevant instructions in this regard.

He also noted the necessity to increase the sales of cotton yarn and fabrics through the exchange trades, and at the same time to expand the production of ready-made garments. In continuation of the topic, the Turkmen President emphasized the need to introduce a digital system into the work of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, to establish an electronic document management system for verification and approval of draft contracts to be registered.

The Government meeting summed up the results of the activities of the sectors of the national economic complex over the past eight months of 2022, and discussed important task aimed at the socio-economic development of the country.
