Berdimuhamedov, Erdogan Hold Phone Talk

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone on Saturday.

The Turkmen Leader said that he was very pleased that his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his family had recovered from the coronavirus infection.

Berdimuhamedov also cordially congratulated Erdogan on his birthday and wished him good health, prosperity, success in all his endeavors for the benefit of the Turkish people and the country's prosperity, the official Turkmen media reports.

The sides also congratulated each other on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey.

The Turkmen Leader thanked Erdogan for consistent support of international initiatives and proposals of the Turkmen side in the name of peace and security.

The Leaders also emphasized the presence of a great potential for further expansion of cooperation by attracting leading Turkish companies interested in dynamic work in the promising Turkmen market.

President Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan’s accession to the Organization of Turkic States as an observer state is welcome development, stressing that Turkmenistan is ready to take an active part in the activities of the organization and in the Council of Elders of this structure. The Head of State also expressed Turkmenistan's interest in participating as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Countries (TURKPA) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic Countries.

At the end of the telephone conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished each other good health and peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly peoples of the two countries.
