The Turkmen and Turkish government officials discussed the status and prospects of cooperation in trade-economic sphere.
The Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Government in charge of economic and financial issues Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a phone talk with Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Mus on Saturday. During the conversation, Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation in the transport sector between the two countries, in particular the effective use of transit and transport corridors and air routes to improve trade relations.
The Turkish Trade Minister reiterated his interest in further strengthening Turkmen-Turkish relations, stressing the need to organize regular meetings between representatives of ministries and departments to implement practical cooperation.
The sides also highlighted the importance of expanding contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
The government officials of the countries discussed the status and prospects of key areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade-economic sphere, and exchanged views on expanding partnerships in textile industry.
At the end of the telephone conversation, the sides expressed confidence that the friendly bilateral relations will continue to expand for the benefit of the people, and wished each other health and success, and well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
