New Processing Industrial Complex to Appear in Turkmen-Afghan Border

The new industrial complex is expected to be constructed in Serhetabat etrap of Mary province.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in an online working meeting on Tuesday with deputy chairmen of government and governors discussed the creation of processing industrial complex in Turkmenistan-Afghanistan border.

The construction of the complex was proposed by the Kazakh government delegation during its recent visit to Ashgabat, the Turkmen President said.

During the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet overseeing the agricultural complex Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet overseeing the trade and textile complex, the co-chair of of the Turkmen-Kazakh intergovernmental commission Chary Gylyjov briefed the Head of State on the matters regarding the creation of the complex.

Following the reports, the Turkmen Leader instructed to ensure implementation of the agreements with the Kazakh side on construction of a processing facility on the Turkmen-Afghan border that will be critical in further enhancing bilateral relations and creating new jobs.

The new industrial complex is expected to be constructed in Serhetabat etrap of Mary province.
