Kyrgyzstan has already received 305.8 million kWh of Turkmen electricity out of the 501.9 million kWh indicated in the general plan of electricity imports from Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan has already supplied over 60% of the planned electricity to Kyrgyzstan, the Akchabar financial portal reported on Wednesday with reference to the announcement of the Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan Talaybek Baigaziyev during the press conference.
Baigaziyev said Kyrgyzstan has already received 305.8 million kWh of Turkmen electricity out of the 501.9 million kWh indicated in the general plan of electricity imports from Turkmenistan.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are also supplying electricity to Kyrgyzstan, according to the National Energy Holding’s Chairman.
To date, Kyrgyzstan received 75.7 million kWh of electricity from the energy system of Kazakhstan out of the 120 million kWh indicated in the general plan, Baigaziyev stated, adding that the imports of Uzbek electricity has already amounted to 72.6 million kWh, with a planned volume standing at 100 million kWh.
The contract for the supply of 501.9 million kWh of electricity from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan was signed in August this year by the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government Charymyrat Purchekov and the Minister of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzayev.
