Foreign businesses purchased Turkmenbashi oil refinery’s LNG and gasoline for foreign currency.
The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $57 million, TDH news agency reported on Sunday.
For foreign currency, businesses based in the UAE, the UK and Afghanistan purchased liquefied natural gas and gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, and diesel fuel produced at the Seydi Oil Refinery.
In addition, businesses from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Ukraine, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn and plain dyed and jacquard terry products for foreign currency.
Businesses from the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan and Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn for over 67 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased high density polyethylene of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, cotton fiber and hand-made carpets for over 30.61 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 110 transactions last week.
